Located in the San Juan Mountains, Colorado, this SCP facility remains a model of excellence in its designated role as the frontier of anomalous research and containment. Come take a step back through time to the 1980s and forge your story at Paragon!
Our mission at Paragon is to create an immersive 1980's themed SCP Foundation. We aim to provide a friendly and welcoming community for all members of the platform to feel welcomed, and enjoy the SCP Genre. Working closely with our community we continuously strive to meet expectations and our goals.
To celebrate the Halloween season, the personnel of the Paragon Research Institute have begun to create their own scary movie! The film focuses on the alien invasion within the mountains of Colorado, and the military's attempts to fight off the invaders before they kill everyone on earth. Personnel have reported members of the film crew shooting footage within the forests around the installation, as well as within the JFK Administration Complex. The film is expected to be shown on site closer to Paragon's official Halloween Celebration, and copies of the film will be kept within the foundation archives for any future rewatches.
However, this project has garnered its fair share of detractors. PENTAGRAM Auditors stationed on site have questioned its usage of foundation funding, citing its minimal budget as a "waste of taxpayer dollars". Members of the Ethics Committee have also voiced their concerns regarding instances of SCP-131 participating in the film, on the grounds of possible exploitation.
In response to the criticism, the film's director Camilla A. PIatt has been quoted as saying "It wouldn't kill you all to have a little fun once in a while".
As Halloween draws near in the Colorado Rockies, Security measures have escalated substantially across Site-40's outer perimeters in preparation for the holiday festivities. Whilst high activity within the forests is expected this time of year, Site Command has reason to believe there is more yet to come.
Foundation agents embedded within the local populace of nearby towns Bullridge and Silverton have reported rumors of a supposed "Sasquatch" sighted within the mountains. These rumors, whilst unsubstantiated, are expected to bring an increase in civilian activity around the basin. To prevent unwanted visitors from entering Site-40, Combative personnel have increased their patrols around the forest, as well as taking position within Firewatch towers located around the mountains.
Site Command reminds all personnel to report suspicious activity both on and off site to their superiors, and to refrain from involving themselves with any "hoaxes" around the surrounding area.
The development team is a major backbone of the Foundation, and we are always looking for experienced and creative developers to add to our team.
